In 2013 we were commissioned by the Studio of Design and Architecture (Soda) to work in conjunction with du Boulay on the fitting out of the prestigious Polpetto restaurant in Soho. The project involved producing custom made furniture for the bar area, including special levered bar stools along the bar itself and sculptured tables in the seating area, and metalwork that is used throughout the restaurant.
Manufacturing the stools and tables involved a degree of artistic flair that made both the project and the process an absolute pleasure for all the Pipecraft staff involved, and really shows what we can do in terms of design and the metal manufacturing process.
The restaurant has been featured in the Food Section of the Mail on Sunday’s Event Magazine, and our metalwork was pictured prominently as an integral part of the overall design and effect that diners are so full of praise for.
This project really was a wonderful showcase for both the practical metal manufacturing skills of our team, and their artistic eye for detail and design.
