We have been using our expertise and experience to create and manufacture 30 large pipe lagging reels for use in the mobility engineering sector.
Produced for spooling on foam extrusions direct from the specialist machines that create various forms of foam pipe lagging, these are commonly used around any exposed pipe runs where protective lagging is necessary to prevent freezing and other types of damage to the pipes.
The plants manufacture foam lagging in thousands of metres and require it to be spun onto the reels, which rotate on a central axle system. The foam is then processed and cut into the required straight lengths to be transported to the distribution sale outlets.
Mild steel tubing
A complex procedure, the large reels were rolled in mild steel tubing and then fabricated for use in the mobility engineering industry. Our custom metalwork services enable us to work with a wide variety of materials on even the most complex projects.
The client chose Pipecraft to supply the reels because we are experts in tube manipulation and metal fabrication, including CNC milling and CNC turning. Our expert engineers possess the skills that are required for this kind of specialist job.
Mobility engineering involves manufacturing and installing high-quality conveyor systems for use in many sectors, including the food and pharmaceutical industries.
Quality and accuracy
Using top quality, ethically sourced materials, guaranteeing consistent quality and accuracy; we can perform fully automated tube cutting, tube punching, end forming, swaging and notching processes through our high-volume machinery.
