Late last year the Studio of Design and Architecture (Soda) got in touch and we were asked to produce the metalwork for the prestigious Polpetto restaurant in Soho.  Working with du Boulay contractors, we manufactured much of the metalwork used throughout the refit, including the fold-away bar stools (see the Pic) and the sculptures tables for casual seating around the edge of the waiting area.

Distinctive Metal Manufacturing

The stools and tables were a particular favourite to manufacture, as the emphasis was as much on the design and look as it was about the functionality of each item.  The team in the workshops used a whole range of processes to manufacture the parts needed, including pipe bending and CNC machining, and the highest standards of finishing were required to meet the exacting standards of the design brief.

The quality of the overall design of the restaurant led to a featured in the Food Section of the Mail on Sunday’s Event Magazine, with our metalwork was pictured prominently and shown as an integral part of the overall design.

This project really has been showcase for both the distinctive metal manufacturing ability of the team, and their eye for detail and design. See more pics on the projects page.
