Since 1980, Pipecraft has been working with leading manufacturers, fabricators, and engineers across various industries and applications to fulfil bespoke pipe and tube bending requirements.
As tube and pipe bending experts, we deliver specialised solutions with clear communication every step of the way. From initial concept through to fabrication, finishing and delivery, the full project will be managed in-house. Whether you require a one-off component or high-volume production runs with quick lead times, our rigorous quality checks ensure accurate, repeatable bends that are manufactured to deliver optimum performance.
Our experienced team can assist with technical drawings, prototypes and tooling advice. We can also advise on bend radius, springback, material selection and manufacturability to ensure your exact requirements are met.
We work with clients in both the public and private sectors, providing nationwide and international delivery.
Our expertise allows us to cater to the needs of any industry, including:
With extensive tube bending capabilities we can support any project, from single bends to complex multi-bend forms across different radii, depending on your requirements.
Reduces the risk of collapse, ovality, or surface distortion, especially on tighter bends.
Produces large-radius curves and smooth arcs – great for structural applications such as frames, rings, and cylindrical shapes.
Clean, defined bends for components like casings, panels, and brackets.
Suited for precision applications that require high strength and a smooth internal finish.
Effective for gradually forming tubes into wide-radius curves without compromising structural integrity.
Creates complex and variable-radius bends through a series of small, controlled movements.
Cost-effective for simple bends, as the material is formed around a die.
Ensures consistent curves while maintaining strength and shape when bending profiles, beams and channels.
Our factory is fully equipped with top of the line tube bending equipment, including:
We have an extensive list of formers and associated tooling for each of our machines. If stock CLR tooling is not suitable, we can manufacture bespoke solutions.
We work with all commercially available metals, in most wall thicknesses and solid bar, ranging from 5.0mm to 88.90mm outer diameter. If you need any help choosing the most suitable option for your application, we are always happy to advise.
We bend tube and pipe from 6.0mm to 88.9mm outside diameter across our range of CNC and manual machines, in a wide range of wall thicknesses. If your requirement falls outside this range, contact us and we’ll advise on options.
We bend aluminium, mild steel, stainless steel, copper and brass, plus solid bar. We can advise on material selection for bendability, strength and finish.
Yes. We can work from drawings specified by outside diameter and wall thickness, or by nominal bore and schedule.
This depends on the material, diameter, wall thickness and bend type. As a general guide, tighter bends usually call for mandrel bending to avoid collapse and ovality. Send us your drawing and we’ll confirm what’s achievable.
Mandrel, compression, roll, increment, box and section bending, and CDS bending. We’ll recommend the best method for your component, material and volume.
Yes. We support everything from prototypes and first-off samples through to repeat production runs and scheduled call-offs.
Tolerances depend on material, diameter and bend complexity. We can work to the tolerances on your drawing and will tell you early if something isn’t feasible.
A drawing or CAD file (or a sample), material, outside diameter and wall thickness, quantity, and any finishing or assembly requirements.
The main factors are material, size and wall thickness, the number and complexity of bends, tolerances, batch size, tooling and any secondary operations. Larger runs spread tooling and setup costs across more parts.
We hold an extensive range of formers for our machines. If stock tooling isn’t suitable, we can manufacture bespoke tooling, with the cost depending on the job.
Lead times depend on the job and current capacity, but we aim to be competitive for both one-off and production orders.
Yes. We manage the project in-house from concept to delivery, including tube rolling, fabrication, finishing and assembly, so you don’t need to coordinate multiple suppliers.
Yes, we provide nationwide and international delivery from our site in Lancing, West Sussex.

Contracted by the Lewes & Eastbourne Council; the Railwayland Wildlife Trust project enabled Pipecraft to showcase some of their many abilities including tube rolling, fabrication and metal polishing.
The work encapsulates our tube manipulation and fabrication services, and in some cases, input into the overall design and suitability for the individual purposes.
The major renovation included designing and manufacturing an “up and over” exhaust system, which was performed by Pipecraft, utilising all our precision engineering skills to make Bill’s dream a reality.
The fascinating piece of artwork was manufactured by Pipecraft. As tube manipulation and metal fabrication specialists, we used a number of techniques to produce the required result for the client.
Committed to building strong relationships with each of our clients, whether for one-off projects or long-term production runs, we offer competitive costings and lead times.
