CNC Milling

CNC milling is a computer numerical controlled machining process in which the operator programmes the milling movements into a CAD system or computer before the milling begins – similar to drilling and cutting.

Using a cylindrical cutting tool which can be moved along several axes to create a selection of holes, slots and shapes, CNC milling can achieve many of the operations that are performed by drilling and cutting machines but it differs from the single axis motion of a drill, in that the workpiece can move across the milling tool in different directions.

Our Mazak FJV-200 is a high-rigidity, high-accuracy, vertical machining centre that features a double column construction, with high-performance spindles. The Mazak FJV-200 provides a comprehensive range of table sizes, the largest of which is 3,000mm x 2,000mm. This fulfils the requirement for machining large liquid crystal panel production components.

The high-speed, powerful spindle has a maximum rotating speed of 12,000 min-¹ and offers a rapid traverse rate, with a covered machining area ensuring chip containment. Its design produces high-precision machining over long periods by eliminating the spindle overhang that is often found in C-frame vertical machining centres.

We also operate three additional CNC milling centres: the Mazak TTC-20B, the Semco MCV-641 and the Haas VF. This ensures that we can meet all our clients’ requirements, across a wide range of industries.
